The beach and cliff at Varkala 50 miles north. It's a long way down those steps, longer coming back up. Mainly exiled Tibetans work here.

Must try harder to load them in the correct order.. backwards! Don't think we can pretend it is rising instead.
The return of Baywatch

Eat your heart out Aviva and Stagecoach,
Here we go,yet another meet and greet

If you don't like an elephant or two then skip this

A couple of elephants, a lovely building beside the beach, don't ask haven't a clue and a wee video, which went on by accident of the meeting of the 3 seas, if it works we might just have cracked it!! obviously not, she is not very good at this but will make sure she keeps trying..

A beautiful Christian Church, viewed from the shrine, which we have visited before,  painted blue inside and a memorial to Ghandi

A short trip on the ferry but from there these shrines look quite small...... they are not, as you can see
This is where the 3 seas meet, a place of pilgrimage. As in the previous post people come to put their feet in the water from these steps.
To the right the Arabian Sea
To the left the Bay of Bengal

Straight ahead and South, the Indian Ocean

This is also  where you can see the moon and the sun rise together usually in April

Saturday 1 December 2012

Our friend Mrs Place is practicing inserting videos..........she is also still practicing at taking them!

Think this is our electrical supply.... anyone know a sparky?

There was a crash but Shaggis said it had nothing to do with him, he was right..... ants had eaten through the wood, so goodbye to the sunshelter.
This is not a sunset, just the colour of the light, before the rain came

Sunday 11 November 2012

Shaggis is intending to join the reigning champion Scottish Elephant Polo team.

This is our home 'Swami Nivas' in Kovalam, Kerela, or, as we call it, the Raspberry Palace. There are not many coconut palms with a Scottish flag around these parts.
